Terry Allen
* HP STAGE I We met Terry at World Ford Challenge 7 in St. Louis when he brought his car to the show (he had purchased an HP kit from us earlier in the year). He said that the car was an immediate hit. People swarmed all over it and we especially interested in the HP turbo kit it had on it. He has shown the car at several other shows since, including Maple Grove and All Ford Carlisle. He sent us these photos of the car and will be getting us more photos and information as it becomes available. Terry has become a dealer for HP kits and we will be posting a dealer page for him in the near future. "We went to Maple Grove and All Ford Carlisle over the weekend, and as usual the car created a lot of excitement. Also we entered the car on Summit Racing's virtual car show and placed out of 538 cars. The car is on their website. 10PSI = 511 RWHP and 622 RWTQ = slipping clutch, also 18 MPG highway. Gotta love it." Terry Allen UPDATE: We just talked to Terry and he reported that he has entered 14 shows last year and came away with trophies at every show he entered! His car was featured in the April 2005 issue of 5.0 Magazine and was the cover car on the November 2007 issue of MM&FF:
Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine "The car drives line a Fox-body on steroids," Terry says. "You need to have respect for it on the street because of the torque and power this thing has. It took a little getting used to because at 3,200 rpm, this thing is almost to full boost." "The streetability of a high-horsepower, killer-torque car that's extremely driveable is one of the things we like the best." Julie says. "We've driven the car from Atlanta to St. Louis and everywhere in between, and if you stay out of the boost, it can get 21 mpg.
5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine "GOES LIKE STINK" Terry and Julie Allen freshened a "Stinky" coupe with 500 turbo horsepower "The Allens' turbo 331 crests the 600 lb-ft torque level as low as 3,400 rpm.....though capable of much more, the HP Performance turbo, from Turbocharged Power Systems, is limited to a relatively drivetrain-friendly 10 pounds of boost. Even so, 511 hp and 622 lb-t of torque on the Dynojet have taken their toll on the car's factory T5 and rear axle.....perhaps most amazing of all, this was with no chip in the A9L processor (the HP turbo comes with a C&L mass air, matched to 42 lb/hr injectors). And the driveability must be good, as the Allens have, at the time of writing this in September, racked up over 6,000 miles on the combo since its installation last May." Goes Like Stink , Dale Amy, 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords, April 2005. The Allens also just won the Editor's Choice from Turbo and High-Tech Performance and the Mustang Brand Team Award at Fun Ford Weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park. Congratulations, Allens, on a job well done!
