HP Performance is proud to announce the new hot side design of its very successful 96-04 Mustang Cobra, GT, Mach 1 and Bullitt Twin Turbo System.

The System now has a completely new hot side, featuring a one-piece "long-tube" header design, twin 3" downpipes and a 3" X-pipe, all ceramic-coated as a standard feature and supported by a lifetime warranty.  The Stage I Twin Turbo system consists of 1 ¾'' primary tube, CNC mandrel-bent, 14-ga. mild steel "long tube" tubular headers. The header flanges are laser cut 3/8'' mild steel.  The four individual primary tubes merge into a 3" collector, after which the turbos are mounted.  After traveling through the turbocharger, the exhaust gases then go through dual 3" ceramic-coated downpipes and into a 3" ceramic-coated X-pipe that connects to the stock cat back in the factory position, utilizing OEM-style ball and socket connections.  Starting from the turbo discharge on the cold side, 2 ½'' tubes connect the turbos to the top of the intercooler.  Exiting the intercooler, the cooled air goes through a 3'' tube into a C&L (blow through) MAF and then to the custom throttle body tube.  All tubing is CNC mandrel-bent on a 5'' radius and Jet-Hot "Sterling" ceramic coated (looks like highly polished aluminum).  All connections on the exhaust side are made using stainless steel V-band clamps.  On the cold side, the connections are 3-ply silicone hose fastened with stainless steel T-bolt clamps.  The system comes with two T3/T4 50mm turbos (max 750-800 rwhp), two BOV valves, two Tial 38mm wastegates, fuel pump upgrade, a C&L mass air meter calibrated to the eight 42# fuel injectors, a computer upgrade chip and a front suspension system including a  tubular K-member,  tubular control arms, coil-over spring conversion and adjustable camber/caster plates. Estimated 20 hours install time.  The System carries a 1-year parts and workmanship warranty, a 3-year ceramic coating warranty and a limited lifetime warranty on the headers and all tubing components.

Note:  Only on certain cars, changing the oil filter mount on the engine may be required in order to clear the header.  The part required for this is Ford # XR3E6884AD, available from your local Ford dealer.

 


"We just finished a long day of tuning a HP twin turbo charged 2 valve Mustang. We are out of fuel and this system/car has a lot left in it.  C&C Tuning from Quebec, Canada brought the car here for us to tune.  Jimmy from HP turbo is present.  Car just laid down 719.38 rwhp and 651TQ with 20psi and only 16 degrees of timing.  The cool thing is the car has simple heads only flowing 225 cfm.  Riechard racing intake to top it off.  They are going to install a larger pump, our heads and bring it back.  I really think we can go 800rwhp no problem.

Full boost quickly.  They spool up fast.  It is soooooooooooooo cool sounding on the dyno."
