"My '89 Mustang LX is
completely daily drivable and can be enjoyed with 91 octane pump gas on a
street tune (10 psi boost/16-18* total timing) and has no drivability issues
whatsoever and will still click off a low 11/ high 10 passes with that tune.
I've owned other kits before, but the HP Performance Turbo kit is the best
quality and very easy to install or remove for engine maintenance. My best
passes were made with a mix of 91 octane pump gas and 110 octane race gas
(approx 104 octane mix), and boost setting was approx 19-20 psi with the
Hallman MBC (9.81 @ 139.4 mph). The car will drive 20 miles to and from the
track with no problems. The part I like best about my T66 is the instant
boost. I see roughly 10-12 psi on the transbrake, or stab the throttle and
the boost is there!"
